SuseXP
eXPerience a completely new Linux feeling with SuseXP!
SuseXP comes with a nice selection of lightweight and fast applications preinstalled, ready to
rock PIII computers with as low as 128 MB ram. Fasten your seatbelts before running it:)

Tipps:
-Configuring wlan
It can be done with yast2
-using ROX filer
“/” will show the current directory and enables faster navigating by typing folder/file names
STRG+1,2,3,4… set a keyboard shortcut to current directory
1,2,3,4… go to corresponding directory
“.” allows selecting files with a mask
-Installing on PCs with very low ram
It helps using a hard disk which has a swap partition on it. Additionally, SuseXP can
be booted in text mode, by typing “3” at the boot prompt. After logging in as root,
the install program can be startet with “yast2 live-installer”.
-mounting USB drives
Mounting USB drives is quite easy. Pmount is included so not only the system administrator can mount. The syntax is as follows: “pmount /dev/blockDeviceName”.
The drives can also be un/mounted with the context menu of rox filer (right click on block device file). All drives are mounted to /media.
-useful shortcuts:
alt+f11: fullscreen mode
strg alt space: execute
strg alt (1,2,3,4,left, right): change workspace
strg alt t: terminal
strg alt r: Rox filer
strg alt f: Firefox

Media
USB & disk image
This is an image of your disk, ready to be written to either a USB drive or your hard disk. When written, it will erase all data on a disk. During the first boot, your partition will bee automatically resized to fill available space.
ISO image
Burn this ISO file to a DVD (or CD, if the space allows), and you'll be able to boot directly from the disc.
Preload ISO
A bootable ISO containing the appliance disk image. Boots into a simple graphical environment and prompts for confirmation before writing the image onto the hard drive. Useful for performing automated system installs/preloads.
Warning: Overwrites all data on the target hard drive.
Virtual
VMware / VirtualBox / KVM image
Whether you use VMware, VirtualBox, or KVM, this vmdk is a ready-to-use virtual appliance.

the packman repository.

Well, it depends what computer you are using. This appliance is meant to be a fast one for older computers, so it uses only lightweight software and lacks some features, like a network manager.
Probaply most Gnome or KDE appliances will fit your needs.
what a your recomment???
