Fortrix MultiversumFortrix Multiversum,

Hi, plz check out http://susegallery.com/a/NTwAD5/cassandra-netcore-b114w. Here are some ideas we put into the fork that seem to be lacking in original Webian Shell:
- NetworkManager integration (demo feature now)
- Keybindings
- Omnibox
…and the distribution:
- Wireless drivers
- Handy terminal (in emergency cases)
- video drivers.

If you like these ideas we could join the efforts.

Cheers, Fort

WebianWebian,

Just a note from the Webian project (http://webian.org) to say that this is a cool community contributed experiment to run Webian Shell on a live CD, but this “Webian OS” project isn’t directly affiliated with Webian, which will have its own official “Webian OS” distribution in the future. Webian Shell is GPL so re-use is encouraged! Just be careful when naming your project…

Chrome LinuxChrome Linux,

Thanks for your interest! This is an unoffcial open project allowing users to easily test-drive your fantastic Webian Shell in full environment. The name Webian OS was chosen to encourage people to use your product and for now this is the only Webian OS available. But if the name is really the matter, I could change it into something else.

WebianWebian,

Changing the name would help prevent confusion.

There’s a thread on the Google Group discussing how to go about creating the Webian distro https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/webian/TbXQ5AmLets

I’d really value your contribution to this discussion.

Roy CassanoRoy Cassano,

How do you get flash to work in the webian shell,I have no experience of using IceWM ?
Using webian on Ubuntu I have no problems with flash sites !
Thank you interesting development.

Chrome LinuxChrome Linux,

It will be working in the next release, meanwhile go to terminal by pressing alt-ctrl-F1 and type:
mkdir -p ~/.mozilla/plugins && ln -s /usr/lib/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so ~/.mozilla/plugins/
