AMUSE is the Astrophysical Multipurpose Software Environment.

Within AMUSE different existing numerical codes for astrophysical simulations are incorporated into a single framework. This framework is implemented with Python. With AMUSE you can simulate objects such as star clusters, proto-planetary disks and galaxies.

This appliance contains the binary release, the tutorial and examples.

AMUSE is installed in /home/amuse/amuse—Linux_x86_64,

The Desktop contians links to:

- AMUSE tutorial:
double click to start.

- A directory with amuse_examples scripts:
double click a file to open an example script with geany. Pressing F5
will then execute the file (this can take some time depending on the
example).

- A link to the amuse website:
you can find more documentation and examples on the website.
